Custom designed and handcrafted in 2018 for a private home in Pentland Hills, this solid Jarrah bar was built as a complete fitted entertaining area around a large bay window. Rather than a simple freestanding bar, the project combines integrated storage, a serving bench, sink, corner display cabinet and subtle LED lighting within one coordinated design.
Jarrah was chosen for its rich red tone, natural depth and long-lasting strength. Raised panel doors, hand-carved corbels, carefully proportioned cabinetry and polished timber surfaces give the installation a traditional architectural character while still keeping it practical for everyday use.
The main bar provides generous storage, bench space and an integrated sink for serving and preparation. A matching corner display cabinet adds further storage and display space, while the LED lighting highlights the timber detailing and gives the bar a warmer presence in the room.
Designed to work with the shape of the bay window and the existing interior, the finished installation feels built into the home rather than added later. The darker Jarrah finish creates contrast against the lighter walls and complements the timber flooring.
