Custom Timber Sideboard with Sliding Doors

This custom timber sideboard was designed as a long, low storage piece that lets the natural character of the timber lead the design.

Three shallow drawers sit neatly across the upper section, providing practical storage for smaller items. Below, broad sliding fronts open to the cabinet space while keeping the facade clean and visually calm.

Knots, grain and natural colour variation carry across the drawer and door fronts. Slim legs lift the cabinet slightly from the floor and lighten the long body, while flush fronts and circular pulls add restrained contemporary detail.

Built as a one-off piece, the sideboard shows how practical storage can be proportioned and detailed as handcrafted furniture. Its generous top also provides a useful surface for display, serving or everyday objects.
