Completed in 2022, this custom fit-out for Passing Clouds Winery brought together feature-grade Messmate timber, Australian-made metalwork and handcrafted furniture detail to create a warm and inviting cellar door dining space.
The project centred around a full dining setup, including large custom Messmate dining tables with distinctive double-lip edges and locally made metal legs. The timber was selected for its natural warmth, grain movement and ability to suit the relaxed character of a regional winery while still feeling refined and durable.
Alongside the dining tables, the fit-out included custom Messmate chairs, a tailored kitchen serving area and a practical storage box. Each piece was designed to feel consistent within the space rather than looking like unrelated furniture items placed together.
The finished result supports the way the winery uses the room — welcoming guests, serving food and wine, and creating a setting that feels connected to the landscape and the brand.
